Centre Updates
March 25, 2024
Beginning in April, developers will begin excavating the lot adjacent to our parking lot.
Unfortunately, they will require the full extent of their property line, which will significantly reduce the parking available to the Centre. The City is in finalizing an agreement with the developers, and will be able to announce additional parking spaces within walking distance of the Centre soon.
Here's what you need to know:
The Centre’s parking lot will be reduced to a smaller number of parking spaces. Stay tuned, as additional parking will be announced shortly.
All entrances to the Centre will remain accessible. The upshot: after the two-year construction, we will return to the original parking plan, with upgraded, beautiful landscaping!

Centre Updates
January 29, 2024
It has been quite a while since our last update and there have been several changes in the centre in the past few months.
Our new Executive Director is Kat, as Carol left in December to pursue a new position. Carla has returned and is our Volunteer Coordinate and Rental Liaison. We are so excited to welcome Monica who replaced Lily, our Program Director, as she and her family headed to the East Coast in December.
Finally, our staff is rounded out with Linda and Alyana sharing the Reception Liaison job. Dana is still with us doing an awesome job of running the kitchen.

Centre Updates
April 4, 2023
As you remember last fall we had a significant leak in the auditorium. The work is nearly done and will be completed over the next two weeks (starting tomorrow). The downside is that any group using the space will have to share with the repair crews who are on scaffolding. You will need to exercise, dance, etc. around them. We will monitor the situation and let you know if we have to cancel due to the final repair work completed.
We are really sorry for any inconvenience this work will cause.

There will be construction in the area and along Cook Street from March 6 to June 16, 2023. We hope that it won't cause too much disruption CLICK HERE for the notification that the Centre received.
February 28, 2023
We will be closed today for snow. We expect to be open tomorrow as temperatures should be much warmer. We have heard that we should be back to rain by Wednesday morning.
